EXPERIENCE: Cathy is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who has acquired over 12 years of professional experience providing mental health services to children, adolescents, adults, and families in the Bay Area (Berkeley, Oakland, and San Francisco, CA). Cathy has a strong interest in working with parents as they navigate family/work/life responsibilities. She also enjoys working with adolescents on issues related to identity development and their school/career goals.
EDUCATION: Cathy received her bachelor’s degree in Sociology and master’s degree in Public Health from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She worked in the field of public health conducting research with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta, GA. After moving to California, Cathy decided to pursue a career in social work and received her master’s degree in Social Welfare from the University of California at Berkeley. Cathy then worked with various non-profit agencies and child welfare programs in the Bay Area providing mental health services to at-risk adolescents and their families.
