From the age of 13, Dr. Washington knew she wanted to be a Clinical Psychologist and her first step was joining the Navy immediately following high school. Since then, Dr. Washington has had a number of experiences in various venues providing psychological services. Each experience provided a greater knowledge of the field, invaluable lessons in working with patients and co-workers, and has continued to grow her passion of the field of clinical psychology. The venues include; Community Mental Health Center, College Counseling Center, an intensive outpatient substance abuse center for adolescents, Veterans Affairs Medical Center, a therapeutic private practice and another counseling practice in which she provided home-based services. Lastly, Dr. Washington has experience in providing psychological assessment services for adults, children, and adolescents in a variety of the previously mentioned settings.
In regards to education; Dr. Washington graduated with a B.S. from Pennsylvania State University in Psychology and from the American School of Professional Psychology at Argosy University with a Doctorate of Psychology.
